Much like a book begins with a dedication page, I feel like the blog needs to start with a dedication page of sorts. A place to say thank you to the people without whom none of this would be possible.
First I want to thank my absolutely gorgeous web designer and technical mastermind, Whitney of Heart & Arrow Design. Whitney was a dream to work with and made the beautiful brand of my dreams come to life. I can’t recommend her highly enough to anyone seeking design work.
A special thanks also goes out to Jessica Meyers of Be the Light Photography for the beautiful press shots seen around the blog. She has a real talent at making her subjects relax, let go, and have fun in front of the camera so that she can capture their every day life in an authentic and natural way.
Next, I have to thank my dear sweet friend, Karen Stott. A few years ago Karen took a leap of faith and created an incredible organization for women in the creative industries called Pursuit Community. I am currently blessed to serve as a leader for this community, and to call Karen a close personal friend. If not for Karen I don’t think I would have even started down this road. She constantly inspires me to dream bigger, be bolder, and continually seek Gods purpose in my life. And it was at the most recent conference for Pursuit that my dreams for the Joy Parade really grew their wings and took flight into what you see today. Thank you Karen: I can’t thank you enough.
I have to thank my parents for supporting me every step of the way. They both have always encouraged me in my creative pursuits, and my Dad personally modeled for me a spirit of entrepreneurship and making your dreams happen with hard work. I know I wouldn’t have been able to take a leap like this one without that model in front of me or their support behind me.
And of course this blog wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for the three handsome guys Im blessed to share my home and my life with. My beautiful boys have been my inspiration every step of the way, and it’s through their eyes that I have been able to see life with a new wonder and joy. They are both tangible miracles who remind me everyday of God’s love for me and His perfect timing. My husband Bobby is my biggest supporter, constant cheerleader, and in many ways my better half. Every dreamer needs an anchor, and he is most certainly mine. Thanks for believing in me Bobby, and for showing me glimpses of myself through your eyes. Ever thine, ever mine, ever ours.
